We respect your privacy and want to be clear about the information we collect and how it's used.

1. Information We Collect

• Vehicle ratings (GVWR, GAWR, GCWR, etc.)
• Trailer ratings (axle count, GAWR, GVWR)
• Scale readings from your truck and/or trailer
• Optional labels or notes you choose to include

We do not require an account, email address, or any personal contact details. Everything above works without signing in.

You may optionally sign in with Google. If you do, we store the Google account identifier and the email address associated with it, and we use them for one purpose only: keeping track of which checks are yours, so they are available on any device instead of only in the browser that created them.

We will never sell your email address, share it for marketing, or send you marketing email. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not ask for access to anything else in your Google account.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Perform towing weight calculations and highlight possible overloads
• Show your results in a link you can share with others
• Keep your results available when you return using the same browser by storing a small cookie
• Improve the site's functionality and troubleshoot problems

3. Cookies

We use cookies to remember your check history in the same browser, so you can revisit or update your results without re-entering your data. If you sign in, an additional cookie identifies your account for the same purpose. Both are essential to the site working and neither is used for advertising or tracking you across other sites. Neither cookie stores your email address or any other contact detail.

4. Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use our service. This collects browser type, operating system, page views, and general location (country/region). 5. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell or rent your data. If you share a results link, anyone with that link will be able to view the numbers you entered.

If you sign in with Google, Google receives the fact that you are signing in to TowCheck. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on their data practices.

Our service is hosted on Cloudflare's edge network. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details on their data practices.

6. Advertising

We may serve ads through third-party networks in the future to cover hosting costs. If we implement advertising, we will update this policy and provide opt-out options where applicable.

7. Data Retention

Your towing checks remain available until they are deleted by you or automatically removed as part of routine site maintenance.

8. Your Data, If You Sign In

Signing in is optional, and you can undo it at any time. From My Checks you can:

• Download your data — a JSON file containing your account details and every check you have saved.
• Delete your account — your email address and Google sign-in are erased permanently. You choose whether your saved checks are deleted with it or kept, unlinked from you, so existing share links keep working.

Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. If you would rather we did it for you, or you can no longer sign in, contact us and we will take care of it.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee complete security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
